Computer Engineering Graduate Program Jumps Four Spots to rank in Top 15

Computer Engineering Graduate Program Ranks No. 12The Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering (CISE) continues to climb in 2022 rankings released today. The CISE computer engineering graduate program has risen to No. 12 among public universities nationwide and is No. 1 in the State of Florida, according to the 2022 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools. Last year, the computer engineering graduate program was ranked No. 16 among public universities.

“The improvement in the computer engineering graduate degree ranking is a testament to the quality improvements we have made in CISE,” said Juan E. Gilbert, Ph.D., The Banks Family Preeminence Endowed Professor and CISE department chair. “Our faculty have worked to recruit the best talent into our graduate programs and now the community is recognizing our effort to recruit, train and graduate the best.”

The computer engineering degree offers a broad, flexible approach in mastering both computer software and hardware. The department offers both a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in computer engineering.
