Assistant Instructional Professor
Joshua Fox is a Lecturer in the Department of Engineering Education and teaches early programming courses in Computer & Information Science & Engineering. He also serves as the Director of the Digital Arts and Sciences degree programs in CISE. He received a MS in Mobile Gaming and a BS in Game Development from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL.
Professionally, his previous work includes time at EA Tiburon in the Quality Assurance department, and working with the National Flight Academy to develop training scenarios for a flight simulator program aimed at introducing younger students to the field of aviation. His previous teaching experience includes over 15 years working for Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, teaching introductory courses in programming as well as 3D modeling and computer graphics in their Game Development degree program.
His current work at the University of Florida includes researching ways to improve computer science education, particularly in undergraduate programming courses.
