Algorithms, Theory, and Geometry Seminar

The algorithms, theory, and geometry seminar meets weekly to study theoretical computer science (TCS), algorithmic foundations (AF), and computational geometry (CG). For Spring 2017 we will be meeting every Friday during period 6 (12:50 - 1:40) in the CISE building, room 305 in the administrative suite. The goals of the seminar are to:

-Listen to invited talks by UF or visiting faculty that are related to AF, TCS, or CG.

-Hear talks by students who are interested in AF, TCS, or CG. These can be related to your research, rehearsal of presentations in conferences, Ph. D proposal, Ph. D defense, etc. or just something you are reading and found interesting related to AF, TCS, or CG.

-Discuss research problems arising in other areas, but seem likely related to AF, TCS, or CG.

-Provide opportunities for students to collaborate on projects that involve AF, TCS, or CG in some form. There will be one main presenter who volunteers to talk about problems related to their research during each meeting.

Anyone of any skill level should come! The only prerequisite is that you are interested in the material!
