Data information types or modalities
The data which will be used in the context of our application falls into the category of text mainly. However, users are able to attach audio, video, and pictures to the comments they are posting in the social community. Also, the main symptoms will be shown as high-quality images to improve the understanding of people about how they look.

| Avoid contracting a communicable diseases | We integrate the preventive measure in bullet points to tell the user how they can avoid getting these type of diseases. We make sure that the information is accompanied by labels which match with the interaction metaphor people have in their mind. |
| Know early symptoms | The early symptoms of each disease are provided using the pictures as they can deliver the concept faster than text. Also, the top 3 symptoms based on the customer’s inputs will be shown as bullet points to foster the learning experience. |
| Understand what type of disease they have | The top 3 symptoms which have been marked by others are showing on the page so people can use them along with the pictures of all the symptoms in understanding what disease they have. |
| Learn about medications | In each disease page, there will be the section about medication and preventive cures, we are making sure it is designed in the best way and not the only bunch of texts. |
| Get notified about the current pattern of diseases in their area | The design of map view is visualizing people around the user which has marked they have this disease. This is voluntarily so a user can mark it or not. However, we are asking them to mark and telling them that this information is collected anonymously. |
