The Medical-Vision research group is involved in the
developing efficient algorithms for a variety of problems in diverse
domains ranging from Computer Vision to Medical Imaging. Within
Computer Vision, we are concerned with developing efficient algorithms
for 2D/3D image and motion segmention, image indexing for
retrieval. In Medical Imaging, we are involved in developing
algorithms for model-based 3D image and shape segmentation; inter and
intra-modal volume image registration (MR-CT, MR T1-T2, T1-PD etc.);
Diffusion Weighted MR image restoration, segmentation, visualization
and nerve fiber mapping; Epileptic classification from hippocampal
shape analysis; Content-based image retrieval using information theoretic
methods.
