Prerequisites

You should know (1) Java and (2) algorithm analysis methods. Although we will rely primarily on the big oh notation, you should also be familiar with the omega and theta notations.

Chapters 1 through 4 of the text review the required background material and you should read these four chapters during the first week of the semester.
