Changing Final Examination Date/Time/Room
I am not opposed to changing the date, time, or place of final examinations.
I do, however, have some conditions placed on changing these parameters.
Any student wishing to change the date, time, or place of a final examination
for a course that I teach must provide to me the following
- Notice of the requested alternate date, time, and place,
- A letter signed by an official of the University Registrar's
office verifying that the date, time, and place are available
for administration of a two hour final examination and if the
location of the examination is different from the previous
location, verification that the
seating capacity of the requested location is adequate to
offer the exam to all of the students in the class.
- A signed statement from each student in the class verifying
that they are willing to take the examination at the
alternate date, time, and place, and that their agreement to
such has not been coerced through either threats or bribery,
and that, furthermore, should the examination time be
changed, the student will not undertake to change the
examination back to the original date, time, and place
except through the process outlined herein.
- A signed statement from the instructor (me) agreeing that
the alternate date, time, and place are acceptable.
If you can get all that, I'll change the examination.
