Heting Wang is currently a Ph.D. student in the Ruiz Human-Computer Interaction Lab advised by Dr. Jaime Ruiz. Heting Wang received a M.S. Computer Science degree from Colorado State University in 2020 when she worked under the supervision of Dr. J. Ross Beveridge and Dr. Francisco R. Ortega. She also holds a B.E. Biomedical Engineering degree from Northeastern University(China) in 2016. Her research interests focus on designing human-centered interfaces/virtual agents that recognize users' non-verbal inputs such as eye gaze, facial expressions, and hand gestures, and provide visual/acoustic feedback to improve user experience. During the pandemic of Covid-19, her current research topic includes developing webcam-based interactive agents in virtual environments to assist users. She is a student member at ACM.
