Background
1975: I was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (July 22,1975) (green).

1975 - 1980:  My dad got transferred to Jakarta, Indonesia (red) and that's where we lived for five years.  I don't remember much of it, though...  Unfortunately, I've lost most of my Cantonese... well I know enough to watch a bad kung fu movie, but that's about it.  I'm toying w/ the idea of taking Mandarin classes here at UF in the coming years.

 1980 - 1997: My family moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma (blue) in 1980 because my dad received a job transfer.  It was either Tulsa or Houston.  He chose Tulsa.  I like it there, it is still 'home' to me.  I went to Union High School and then to the University of Tulsa.

1997 - 2002: I moved to Chapel Hill, NC (yellow) - the southern part of Heaven -  to go to grad school.  I fell in love with the triangle area and hope to move back there sometime in my life.  If you get a chance, you should go visit.  It is awesome.

2002 - 2003: I moved to Charlotte, NC (green) to do my postdoc at UNC-Charlotte.  I didn't have much time there, though it was 'okay'.  It is much more a southern city than Raleigh.

2003 - present: I moved to Gainesville, FL (red) in August 2003 to start my first 'real job'.  I like it so far, except there is no ice rink... ugh.  Nice people, small-er town.

Interests
My main interests are in computer graphics and sports.  I'll eventually find a way to combine the two, and then I'll probably have my dream job.

I am a big computer/video game player and have been playing them since Pac-Man on my Atari 800 I got when I was 5. 

Sports

My favorite sport is Ice Hockey (as evidence by my picture on my main page).  I started playing in grad school, and am absolutely nuts about it.  Unfortunately, there is no nearby ice. :(
