Biographical Sketch |

|
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at University of
Florida (Advisor: Ahmed Helmy).
I expect to graduate in Dec 2011 and currently seeking for a full-time
position in both research labs and industry. I received my bachelor¡¯s degree from Sogang University in
Seoul, South Korea in Feb 2004 and master¡¯s degree from University of Florida
in May 2006, all in Computer Science. My area of research in Ph.D. study is
mobile networks in relation to user contact pattern, profiling for social
networking and mobile testbed using iRobot and smart phones. |

|
My research interests lies in analysis and modeling of human
behavior, and application of result at real-world services and platforms. To
achieve this goal, I have investigated large number of user data (more than
100,000 users in total) by statistical analysis, and discovered periodic
properties in contact pattern. Based on this understanding, I developed and
implemented profile based mobility model on the mobile social networking simulation
and testbed. With implementation on iRobot, I received the Best Demo
runner-up award at WINTECH ¡¯10. I am interested in profiling users and
developing social networking services, protocols and applications on various
platforms. More details about my research can be found here. |
