Title:  Efficient approximate searches in large text documents

Abstract:  There are many efficient algorithms for performing exact
searches in large text documents.  However, the existing methods
for performing approximate searches are inefficient in space utilization
or time for performing the search.  After outlining the known
approaches, we develop a new efficient method for approximate searches.
This makes use of a novel data structure.
