This class contains a wide variety of students from various backgrounds and possessing various levels of skill. By necessity, the course has to be pitched towards the majority of the students.
Therefore to encourage the exceptionally
motivated student and the exceptionally able/talented student:
--I will usually provide challenging Bonus
questions in tests.
--At the end of the course,
I expect to invite some students to
do an independent study under my supervision,
which has a high potential of becoming a funded research
project and will provide some financial support
to the student.
