I am a post-doc in the CISE department since March 2009. I work with Prof.Dobra. Prior to joining CISE, I had a short stint in the industry (Greenplum) where I worked as a software engineer. I received my PhD in computer engineering from UF in Aug 2008 (my PhD advisor was Prof.Jermaine). I received my masters from UF in 2003 (my theses advisor was Prof.Helal). I received my bachelors degree in Information Technology from the University of Madras in 2000. My doctoral dissertation focused on developing algorithms for large-scale spatio-temporal data management. Research InterestsMy interests lie in the general area of database systems and statistical computing.I am a member of the Datapath/DBO Project (NSF-funded). An overview describing datapath architecture and design philosophy appears as a paper in this year's SIGMOD proceedings. I have also done a little bit of work on probabilistic databases (MCDB). | * |
