I graduated in May 2009 with my Ph.D. under supervision of Dr. Paul D. Gader and Dr. Joseph N. Wilson. The focus of my research was enabling use of signal compression information as features for clustering and classification.
My main area of interest is machine learning and pattern recognition, particularly automated feature detection and extraction, dimensionality reduction, outlier detection, clustering and classification. My technical proficiencies include various programming and scripting languages on both Linux and Windows platforms, including C/C++, Matlab, Java, Python, .NET technologies and OpenGL/ES.
Currently I am working as a Software Validation Engineer at Intel Corporation where I work on developing tools for automated 3D Graphics content generation for validating third-party IP for next-generation Intel Atom System on Chip (SoC). For the past five years, I was associated with the Computational Science and Intelligence Lab where I worked on machine learning and signal processing related problems with special emphasis on improving the Landmine detection algorithms.
Besides my research work, I have been actively involved in various extra curricular activities like organizing various professional seminars and events. I also like to travel a lot. Some photos from my travels can be found on my interests page.
