About me...

Namaste, I belong to the city of Kanpur, once known as the Manchester of Northern India due to its textile industries. Now, its better known for pollution, chaos and ofcourse IIT. Unfortunately I was not given any preference over there of being a domicile and sent away to Ranchi to do my BE at BIT. We BITians have always believed in the dictionary rankings and even computers sort us ahead of the IITs. After struggling in the IT Industry for more than half a decade, I decided to get back to school, to do what I do best SLEEP...well no luck so far if you are thinking what I did not imply.

Bitten by the research bug, I decided in the summer of 06 to do a master's thesis. So far I have survived. Let's see if I manage to graduate this term or the latest by next... or the next... there you see I am stuck in a single linked list. The MS guys will definitely want me to do all crazy stuff with that if I ever volunteer to visit the career fair and show them my resume.

The latest from me, I want to do a PhD in Algorithms and Complexity analysis, thanks to Dr. Banerjee for making the subject so interesting and challenging us to take on the likes of Tarjan et al.

On a serious note I am working with Dr. Tim Davis on the graph partitioning problem. We are using the quadratic programming solution to the graph partitioning problem along with the multi-level approach. This should give a better quality partition at a reasonable speed.
