7/27/2008 Reunion Weekend Details
Here are the details for our reunion weekend:

Friday night - Informal get-together at Biehl Street Pub in Festus starting around 8pm until whenever.
Saturday morning - Tour of the new HHS. Meet at 10:30am sharp in front of the new high school building (on the West Campus).
Saturday night - Formal Reunion will be at Hillsboro Civic Center from 7pm to 11pm.
Sunday morning - BBQ at West City Park, Festus from 11:30am until whenever.

If you aren't familiar with any of the locations or have any questions about the weekend, please feel free to email me or Seth.

7/2/2008 Missing Classmates.. Help!
We need help finding several people (their invitations were returned in the mail). Please take a minute to look over the list. If you have an address, e-mail address or phone number for any of these people, we could really use your help! Also, if you know anyone else who did not receive an invitation but should have, please have them get in contact with Seth. Thanks!

7/1/2008 Invitations
Invitations went out in the mail on June 24th! If you do not receive an invitation, it is most likely because we have an old address for you. If your parents or family still live at the address supplied by 1-800-REUNION, then they can get the invite to you. If you still don't get an invitation and you want one by email, please email Seth.

Also, please remember you need to RSVP by July 15! Seth needs your RSVP and money (if you are attending Saturday's dinner) by that date!

6/9/2008 Reunion Weekend Details:
Friday, August 1
We do not have anything formal planned for Friday, but we would like to give people who have made it into town the chance to get together and socialize. We plan to get together at a to-be-determined local drinking establishment from about 8pm until people feel like leaving. There is no cost for this except for whatever you want to spend at the local drinking establishment.

Saturday, August 2
We plan to have a tour of the new high school and athletic facility in the morning. Many of us probably have not had the chance to see either of these facilities, and we thought you might appreciate the chance.

Saturday night will the reunion banquet. The banquet will be held at the Civic Club in Hillsboro from 7pm to 11pm. There will be a catered dinner and cash bar. This will be a great opportunity to get together and catch up with our classmates, and we hope to have some other entertainment (a slideshow of old pictures and a DJ), as well.

The cost for the banquet is $25 per person. You and a guest are invited to the reunion banquet.

Sunday, August 3
Sunday will be a more family-oriented event, and we encourage you to bring your children as we will be barbecuing at West City Park in Festus starting at 11:30am. This is a bring your own meal and drinks event, but Seth will be supplying us with a big bag of charcoal for anyone who wants to grill their meal. There will be no cost to get into the barbecue.

If you plan to attend, we must have your RSVP and money (if you are attending the Saturday night banquet) by July 15! If we do not have your money, we will be forced to assume you are not attending!

3/17/2008 Quick update!
Hello everyone, Just a quick update. Our reunion weekend is set. It will be the weekend of August 1 - 3, with the reception on Saturday night at the civic club in Hillsboro. We are working on getting a caterer and a DJ. I have received suggestions for both, but if you have a recommendation, it would be appreciated.

The next big task is assembling everyones' addresses. If you have not already done so, please call 1-800-REUNION and make sure your address is current. You could also message me through this page to give me your current address.

That is all I have for now. Prices and ticket sales for the reunion are still a little way off I think, but at least now we know we are actually having a reunion!

2/04/2008 Meeting Results Well, after the much anticipated reunion meeting (thanks again to all those who came to help out and those who sent in suggestions), we have a tentative weekend plan, and I am currently working on finding an actual date.

We are shooting for early August as our target date (preferrably the first weekend). The reunion will be a full weekend affair, with several activities for you to attend if you so choose. Here is the (basic) plan:

Friday night: A very informal gathering for anyone who is in the area by that time. Probably meeting up at a local bar or restaurant. Right now, the front-runner for the location is Phoenix in South County (I think it is in South County...). This would only cost you what you wanted to spend, but we are checking to make sure there is not a cover charge.

Saturday morning: A tour of the new(ish) high school and possibly the new football facility. This would be free as well and open to who ever would like to attend. Time is pending information from school officials.

Saturday evening: A more formal reception. Location is still to be determined, but we have 2 top contenders (look for a poll to be added to the page in the near future to guage your opinion on the locations). One contender (the favorite among those at the meeting) was the Junior High gym, which is, of course, our old high school gym. I will have to get school approval on this one, and I'm not sure how likely it is that they will give their approval, but more info on this location as I know it. Second is a place like the atrium at the Holiday Inn in Festus, but I can't get them to return my phone calls.

Sunday afternoon: A barbecue at a park (maybe West City Park) open to everyone and their children. Obviously there are many of us with families now, and this would be a great opportunity to show them off.

This is pretty much the plan for now. I plan to have the date within the next week or so, and then we will really be able to get down to the details of the event (like times, costs, etc).

The next big step is gathering everyone's addresses. If you could please remember to call 1-800-REUNION and update your address that would be a big help, but do not be surprised if someone contacts you to get your address.

Suggestions are always welcome and appreciated. If you have any questions feel free to let me know!
