Final Presentation signup sheets posted Class: The signup sheets for CISE Sr. Proj. (CIS4914) Final Presentation are posted on my office door. The time/date info is: Thursday 04 Dec 2003 9:00am - 12:08pm, 1:30pm - 6:25pm CSE/E404 Friday 05 Dec 2003 9:00am - 12:08pm, 1:30pm - 6:25pm CSE/E404 A number of students asked for the earlier presentation time, to avoid class, work, or family conflicts. You *must* present individual presentations in E404, not in my office. Also, pls. be aware that the signup sheets for CIS4930 (also a Sr. Proj. course) will be next to the CISE project signups so do not confuse the two courses (sheets are clearly labelled). I will be emailing you details about your presentation later this week. You can also get details on the class Web page. Best wishes for success in your projects! Mark. mssz@cise.ufl.edu ---- Message #6: Date: Thu Nov 6 21:36:10 EST 2003 Subject: Excellent Presentations! Class: The second midterm presentations ranged from Very Good to Excellent!! I was greatly encouraged by the progress and presentation of your projects. Signup sheets for the Final Presentation will be posted on my office door during the week before Thanksgiving, and I'll let you know as soon as they appear. Please remember that your graded Final Report is due in my hot little hands at the time you give your Final Presentation. With so many students in the class, I have to enforce dead- lines, so pls. allow time (~1 week) for your advisor to grade the report. Also, you should ask your Advisor what his/her schedule will be during that time, so (a) you are sure the Advisor will be able to grade your report and sign the grade sheet, and (b) you will be able to get the graded report from your Advisor. Just a word to the wise... Congratulations on successful presentations, and best wishes for project completion :) Mark. mssz@cise.ufl.edu ---- Message #5: Date: Fri Oct 31 16:41:40 EST 2003 Subject: Oops...wrong signups? Class: I just noticed that some of you (names withheld to avoid public embarrasment :) have signed up for the DAS Sr. Project presentation (CIS4930), which is not correct. That was the left-hand signup sheet, and was clearly labelled DAS Sr. Proj. 1. The CISE Sr. Project signups (CIS4914) are the two sheets on the right-hand side of my door. Please check to see that you are correctly signed up, so you do not miss your presentation... Thank you, Mark. mssz@cise.ufl.edu PS. If you have not signed up, pls. do so now, as the time slots are going fast. ---- Message #5: Date: Mon Oct 27 19:51:05 EST 2003 Subject: Midterm Presentation #2 signup sheets on CSE/E446 door Class: The signup sheets for Midterm Presentation #2 are on my office door (CSE/E446). I want to apologize for an HTML error that prevented the announcement posted to the Web page from being displayed on Internet Explorer or some versions of Netscape. I have corrected the error, and hope this did not unduly distress any of you. We try to provide four channels of information - (1) meetings at the beginning of the semester, (2) the Web page, (3) emails I send to you, and (4) archived text versions of the emails, so there is backup in case you miss any one of these. If you have not yet signed up, or somehow did not get email, there is still almost 24 hours to sign up for the presentation time tomorrow, and about 48 hours to sign up for a time slot on Wednesday.
