Here are the notes of the meeting for the technical meeting held on
10/02/2001

 * Regarding Griphyn. Will be deciding a meeting time with Dr.
Avery. Most probably on Friday morning. Action to be taken by pradeep
 * Presentation status updated by CC. Still some slides to come. Also
he made contact with Dr. Helal.
 * Nachiket to post the IPDPS paper on web page.
 * There's a new conference coming up. Details are in upcoming events
web page. We decided to go for more than one paper. Some people will
be writing on a part or module of OCEAN and one general paper will be
submitted.
 * Comments on Erwin's Tutorial. He will be posting more information
to clarify more things.
 * Pradeep wanted to talk a little bit about job migration. Are we
doing any checkpointing was his question. We are not doing any thing
right now and the application has to do it on its own if it wants to
move to some ohter machine while running. Also the concepts of
transient members came up. Transient fields can't be serialized, Erwin
says. Discussed about the paper presented by a prof at ASU. Details to
be found in another mail posted by pradeep.
 * How do we handle the different technologies and lines of thought
coming up? CC proposed to have different groups working on different
technologies. Erwin to decide a plan and every one will have a choice
to be in whatever group they want.
