Welcome to the homepage of Kevin Robert Andrews.
A few things about me:
Phonetically my name looks like this: ke-v&n rä-b&rt an-"drüz
A teacher whose opinion I hold in high regard once described me as an "odd,
highly intelligent, amusingly cynical, differently motivated student who understands
the value of puns."
I enjoy games that mix a little bit of chance with a lot of strategy.
I would like to live in a less rigid society one day.
My resume.
A body building website
that I work on. Check it out, membership is free now.
A jewelry website that I
work on. Not free, but the jewelry is hand made and you won't find it anywhere
else.
Aerhub is a social networking website that I
work on. It focuses on the aviation industry and great things are planned for the
future.
A few thoughts about programming:
I believe strongly in standards. "Hey! How come this works with _____, but not
with _____?" - You're doing it wrong.
Everyone should have JavaScript enabled in their browser. "I want this website
done in AJAX and I want everyone to be able to use it." - Good luck.
Comments should have just enough detail and should be written at a reasonable
educational level. Also, this is stupid: *i = 1; // assigns 1 to the value pointed
to by i
All code should be written with the idea in mind that someone else is going
to change it. If it's not object-oriented, you probably did it wrong.
A few thoughts about life:
Be assertive, polite, and generous.
Tact is absolutely the most useful skill you can have.
Your 18 to 25 year-old friends (I'm talking to you, girls that don't know what
to do about _____) are not as wise as you might like.
Pay attention to what people say and ask questions. Always challenge assumptions
and question beliefs.
