Bio

Jeremy is currently a Ph.D. candidate and Research Assisitant in the Computational Science and Intelligence Lab in the Department of Computer Information and Sciences and Engineering at the University of Florida.

Research Summary

Current research includes the development, implementation and analysis of innovative alogrithms, methodologies and models with a solid mathematical and/or statistical base. Current projects apply this research to aid in the detection and remediation of landmines. The developed algorithms, methods, and models are used to identify these targets given various input data: hyperspectral and multispectral imagery (LWIR, SWIR and VSNIR), ground penetrating radar, synthetic aperature radar and forward looking IR.

Current Projects

Science of Land Target Spectral Signatures: Multi-University Research Initiative

Ground Standoff Minefield Detection System (GSTAMIDS)

Optimized Multi-Algorithm Systems for Detecting Explosive Objects Using Robust Clustering and Choquet Integration, NSF Program

Interests

Research related interests include pattern recognition, machine learning, statistical methods, bayesian theory, image processing, information theory, optimization and mathematics. Specific areas of interest include the use of fuzzy mathematics, random sets and context learning for pattern recognition and classification.
