HomeBioJeremy is currently a Ph.D. candidate and Research Assisitant in the Computational Science and Intelligence Lab in the Department of Computer Information and Sciences and Engineering at the University of Florida. Research SummaryCurrent research includes the development, implementation and analysis of alogrithms for the detection of landmines given various sensory inputs including: Hyperspectral and Multispectral imagery (LWIR, SWIR and VSNIR), Ground penetrating radar, Synthetic aperature radar and Forward looking IR. Current ProjectsScience of Land Target Spectral Signatures: Multi-University Research Initiative Ground Standoff Minefield Detection System (GSTAMIDS) Optimized Multi-Algorithm Systems for Detecting Explosive Objects Using Robust Clustering and Choquet Integration, NSF Program InterestsResearch related interests include Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Statistical Methods, Bayesian Theory, Image Processing, Information Theory, Optimization and Mathematics. Specific areas of interest include the use of Fuzzy Mathematics, Random Sets and Context Learning for pattern recognition and classification. |
