(Being a Dave myself, I felt inspired by your homepage. Beware of the
doggerel.)


 One question 'bout which I rant and rave
is what it takes to be a Dave
Daves are witty,pleasant, kind,
and of an odder state of mind
besides. But peering closer shows
facts often startling when disclosed.
Tastes in music, art and science,
and often stubborn non-compliance
to mediocrity , indeed,
inside the Dave doth lie a need
to walk the road less travelled on
to take the chance and chase the dawn,
to oft rush in where few do tread.
Where others follow'd, Daves hath led.

Of strength or spirit, mind or heart,
Daves excel in ev'ry art.
