The purpose of this assignment is so that Dave can learn a little (or a lot) about you and to help him learn the names of his students. To that end, you are to write a "biographical sketch" as outlined below.
Write at least 500 words (single spaced) telling me about yourself; a person reading this section should have a sense of who you are. Things that you may choose to talk about might include what makes you special, where you are from, what is important to you, your hopes, dreams, and aspirations, things you are proud of, things you regret, hobbies, etc. Note: an informal, first person tone is fine.
You have the option to substitute a well-thought out essay (of at least 500 words) explaining why you don't want to write about yourself in lieu of writing 500+ words about yourself.
The answers to this section do not count as part of the 500 word minimum.
