HW: Presentation Topics

Summary

Propose 5 (five) different topics that your group is very interested in that are directly related to Digital Arts & Sciences. The subjects must have a significant technical component. For each topic:

• one phrase/sentence summary
• 150-300 words explaining what specifically you envision talking about
• 150-300 words justifying why you believe this is an appropriate topic for this course and would make for an interesting class presentation.

Your topics should be appear in the order of preference (favorite first)

Presentation requirements preview

Once you have an approved topic, your team will develop a presentation to be delivered later in the term. In that 20 minute presentation you will be covering

• historical antecedents
• current state of the art,
• likely future directions (5 years and 15 years out).

Criteria on which the presentation will be evaluated

Content

— technically meaty or superficial fluff?

Empowering

— how well did it prepare the audience to go forth and apply the concepts in their own work?

Presentation

— professionalism of the slides, choice of media, quality of the delivery, etc.

Overall

— the gestalt
