A poetic apology in pathetic apogee

I tried to come up with a mathematical poem to liven up this week's NA Digest, but sadly was unable to do so. The math just didn't work out. Please accept my humble apology:

I'm not a poet laureate,
    just a poet overrate.
True poets speak in words that flow ;
    all I get is underflow.
True poets write with elegance,
    my poetic math gives Inf's.
True literature inspires Man,
    my poem over zero's NaN.
This poem's float' IEEE,
    critics all cry out Ai-Eee!
