Star light, Starbucks

This poem is inspired by two facts, both of which are true of me: (1) mathematicians are machines that turn coffee into theorems (a quote from Paul Erdos), and (2) computer scientists are machines that turn coffee into code.

Star light, author unknown.       Starbucks by T. D.

Star light star bright
the first star I see tonight.
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have the wish I wish tonight.

Starbucks, Starbucks
A cup of coffee costs four bucks.
I wish I may, I wish I was,
Asleep in spite of coffee buzz.

Here are a few variants, also by T. D.

Starbucks latte,
first cup at break of day.
I wish I might, I wish I may,
Have the second on the way.

Star light Star-p
It's so simple, don't you see?
I wish I may, I wish to see,
My code in parallel set free.
