Daley Alex

I am one such person who could go on and on about one thing or the other, but when asked to write about himself, becomes quite thoroughly baffled. This has prevented my about me sections, in facebook and orkut to rise above a virtual non existance. My name is Daley Alex who sometimes go by the pseudonyms of wolverinemaho and Phelodas. The former was made as joke in 10th grade but it sort of stuck.

I am a second year Masters student at the University of Florida, Gainesville. I am majoring in Computer Science and my field of interest, is in databases and their related technologies. I am also interested in high performance parallel computing mostly based on shared memory architecture. I have had an opportunity to excercise my interests working as a Research Assistant for Dr. Alin Dobra and Dr. Sanjay Ranka.

My thesis has also been in the aforementioned area of data intensive computing, jointly advised by both Dr. Alin Dobra and Dr. Sanjay Ranka, Enhanced GLADE and Its Impact on Computational Data Analytics [URL]

I am born a Keralite and have spend almost all my life in the city known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea, Cochin. And at present I live in the Gator Nation - Gainesville, FL.
