Alina Zare received her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida in 2003. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in the Department of Computer and Information Science and Engineering at the University of Florida. Her research interests include sparsity promotion, machine learning, image analysis, and pattern recognition. She is currently involved in landmine detection research using hyper-spectral imaging sensors.
