Abstract
Among the energy sources used today is oil. While it is cheaper than other energy sources and is easily transportable, it has many disadvantages. Oil is a fossil fuel and is a non renewable energy source. It is used to fuel cars, electricity and many other things commonly used throughout the world. Unfortunately we run the risk of running out of oil. After all the oil has been found and used and the reserves have been consumed, that's it. At this time some options to reduce the consumption of oil are being considered, but as of now it is expected that the world will run out of oil by the year 2025. Among this problem are the negative side affects to the environment. Oil produces carbon dioxide which is a great contributer to the greenhouse effect. Also othe atmospheric pollution results from the use of oil. All of these problems have become a heated discussion throughout the world and needs to be taken serious.
