PROJECT 1# Exploring 3D Displays:

We had to create a virtual experience using 1) 6 DOF head tracking and 2) a method to display objects in 3D to provide the user an experience of something they would unlikely experience. That experience should leverage the benefits of VR (expensive, dangerous, important to learn, and practice makes you better).

PROJECT 2# Presence in Virtual Environments:

Create a virtual experience using:

  1. 6 DOF head tracking

  2. 6 DOF object tracking

  3. Stereo rendering

  4. Mechanisms to enhance presence (two of haptics, user priming, and audio)

  5. Behavioral measures of presence

  6. Questionnaire to measure presence

To provide the user an experience that studies user perception of some phenomena (e.g. memory, spatial cognition, comprehension, learning, etc.)

PROJECT 3# Rendering artistic experience through Virtual Reality:

The idea was to give the users an experience in art (Graphic/Music) leveraging the capabilities of VR. It had to be allowing the users to explore an interesting vocation of which they could take a copy home. It was emphasized that the experience saw them immersed in the medium created through VR.
