Effects of wandering on my being...
Hello everyone! This is Adeel Ahmed. I am a graduate student at University of Florida Gainesville, a Computer Science major. I come from a small town Larkana in Sindh, Pakistan, which is world wide renowned for its 5000 year old Indus Valley Civilization in form of 'Moen-jo-daro' (mound of the dead) remains. After completing high school education from hometown, I moved to Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh Province for higher education.

Subsequent to graduation from NED University of Engineering & Technology in Informtion Technology, I started my professional career as System Engineer at Central Depository Company Private Limited Karachi. Soon I joined NED University, my alma mater, as IT Manager with a calculated maneuver, to help myself decide for my Master studies very soon. My plan was to get hold of some scholarship and do Masters from abroad as quickly as possible, but since life is not bed of roses, nothing comes as planned so everything needs to be managed to accomodate the alternatives. So as an alternate, in the meantime, the best thing for me was to go for an MBA or an MS degree alongwith my job as I never knew if I would ever secure a scholarship.
Fortunately enough, I got admitted into Institute of Business Administration Karachi (IBA) for MBA evening program where I continued for a semester along with my job at NED, but then, another good thing happened for me. I got admitted into Lahore University of Management Sciences in Master of Computer Science Program based on governement funding. This transition did not just stop from Karachi to Lahore, rather with the blessings of Almighty, I got a chance here at University of Florida for graduate studies on US government funding, again in the same program as before.
I am not sure that what would be my next station in this journey, as I am a wandering cloud. I might have my own plans and dreams, but the effects of being wandering on my 'being' has always played some part and has given me varied experiences of life, and an inspiration to think in new directions with a hope and commitment to make a little bit difference in this world and a desire to make things happen.
Enjoy, Have a great day!
