The UF ACM High School Programming Competition will hopefully draw another crop of the state's finest high school programming prodigies to the Reitz Union Ballroom on Tuesday, February 9. We're going to need a few volunteers to help run the competition. If you're interested, take a look at the HSPC volunteer schedule and sign up for a shift.
The main attraction at the ACM booth will be the JavaBots Programming Competition. Expect some jaw-dropping goodies as we unveil the hefty work done for the JavaBots Competition -- 3D real-time renderings of the competition using high detail models, cheesy special effects and anything else Dan can think up. What's that? Don't believe me? Then check out the screen shots and become a true believer.
Yep, yep, yep, ACM is gearing up for another techno-extravaganza. If you're still not impressed, you probably won't be moved by the HCI Lab's stuff either. The UF ACM Human Computer Interaction Lab is cooking up some funky interactive demos to waylay and astonish you with their digital wizardry.
