How to increase LaTeX memory?

(refer to http://pp3.sourceforge.net/manual/Increase-TeX-s-memory.html)

1. Copy /usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf to my local directory, say MYDIR.

2. Adds the line "main_memory.latex = 7500000" in the file.

3. Run " fmtutil --byfmt latex". (As the webpage says.)

4. Set the environment variable "TEXMFCNF" to "MYDIR".
