Artesano For Win32

Here are some screenshots from the modeling tool I am working on. The original program was written by Carlos Gonzalez as part of his work with the Surf Lab here at Purdue. It uses Surf's geometry libraries to create smooth curved surfaces based on an intial mesh, which can then be manipulated into any shape the user desires. It also allows users to interact with model by manipulating the surfaces.

My work involved porting the application to Win32. The libraries for the mathematical processes involved had already been ported, which left me with task of implementing a Win32 user-interface, and interaction with the surfaces using Open Inventor for Win32.

The first three images are screenshots of the modeling tool itself, and the last one is a rendering (using Metacreations Ray Dream 3D) of the mesh which was created and then exported as a DXF file.
