Web Servers
Primary Server: www
Our primary web server is available through URLs starting with www.cise.ufl.edu.
This machine is NOT available for users to log in for security reasons. As such, special care must be taken when using CGi scripts, or other dynamic web pages. Only fully-debugged scripts should be used on the main web server.
The log files are available at /cise/info/web/logs/www0.
Secondary Server: www-pub
Every CISE URL which can be accessed from the primary web server can also be accessed from the secondary server. Simply start the URL with www-pub.cise.ufl.edu instead of www.cise.ufl.edu.
The advantage of using the secondary server is that users are allowed to log in to this machine, so it can safely be used to debug CGI scripts and other dynamic content.
The log files are available on the machine at /usr/local/var/apache/logs.
