PuTTY Installation

From the PuTTY webpage:

"PuTTY is a free implementation of Telnet and SSH for Win32 platforms, along with an xterm terminal emulator. It is written and maintained primarily by Simon Tatham."
  1. Download the PuTTY executable from here and run the PuTTY program.
  2. Select the SSH protocol, and enter the name of any public CISE Unix machine (see the CISE computers page), and then click "Open":

  3. When prompted to do so, enter your CISE username and system password and you will be connected:

  4. Alternately, you can run the PSCP or PSFTP programs to copy files securely.
