CISE Travel Grants
Information and links on Travel Grants available for
graduate students currently enrolled in the
Computer and Information Science and Engineering Department.
Announcements
Prof. Jonathan Liu is the chair of the Awards Committee for
the academic year 2011-2012, so please
address communications to him.
Procedures
- Step 1: Fill out a department travel authorization as well as a travel award application form. Drop off both forms with
the travel staff in CSE 301. Be sure to check your application
for completeness.
- Step 2: Email an electronic copy of the travel application to
jcliu@cise.ufl.edu.
- Step 3: Engineering graduate students are also encouraged to apply to the
Graduate Student Council for travel monies. The GSC provides support through their
Travel Grant Program.
Eligibility Criteria
- Decisions regarding the award of CISE travel grants will be made continously until all awards are
issued, using our
decision criteria.
- Preference is given to applicants
presenting papers at IEEE and ACM sponsored conferences.
- Here is a list of student awardees and the conferences where they presented (will present) their papers.
Most questions regrading the award or the application including the travel authorization form should be directed to one of:
- Prof. Jonathan Liu
in CSE, room E444 (chair of awards committee - 450-6834) or
- The travel staff in CSE, room E301 (for information/help with Dept. travel authorizations - must be handed in before travel award will be made).
