COMPUTER ENGINEERING PROGRAM
PROGRAM IMPROVEMENT INFORMATION
Our
Computer Engineering program
has
two tracks , and
is accredited by ABET
(Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology).
Academics
Advice on the software track is available from the CISE Student Services
CEN program
information, while advice on the hardware (CEE) track is available from the
ECE website.
The program is governed by the
CEN Faculty
and the
CEN Governance Agreement
.
In 2006-2007, we are undergoing the ABET re-accreditation process, required every six years.
Our
Educational Objectives and Program Outcomes,
effective Spring 2006 were established and reviewed according to our
EO and PO Process.
Objectives correspond to what we expect our graduates to accomplish within
3-8 years of graduation, while Outcomes are the knowledge and skills we
expect them to obtain by completing the Computer Engineering program.
Students in the CISE Department are assigned faculty mentors (please see
Faculty Mentor List).
Faculty teaching required courses are obligated to assess specific outcomes
as shown in the Course Grid (effective Spring 2006), which maps the Objectives to assessments in the required courses.
Instructors must submit copies of graded work used for assessments,
and a completed
Course Evaluation Form
to the
CENPOC
after meeting with the
Course Committees
for that course at the end of the term.
This Process is performed each term.
