项目符号 HW3 is assigned. The due day is Dec 7th for all students. For On Campus students, please turn it in during office hours. For EDGE students, please turn it in by email to COP5536fa09@gmail.com.
项目符号 Nov 16: Exam 2 pick up & Score Check

The Exam 2 is ready for pickup now. Please come to TA's office hour to get it. You can also check your score online. In Exam 2,  question 1,2 are graded by Bo Li, Question 3,4 by Jianmin Chen. Regrade request should be submitted before Nov 30. After that it will not be considered. All upgraded scores will not be online until the deadline of regrade.
项目符号 Please make sure you have a tempID and also all your scores are online with it. The final grade will be decided on the scores online. Please contact TA ASAP if you didn't see your scores or tempID.

1. There will be no lecture Friday Nov 6 as we shall be having Exam 2 that evening.
2. Dr. Sahni will be away Monday Nov. 9 and a pre-recorded lecture will be played.
项目符号 Oct 29: HW2 (Project) FAQ and Extension, EXAM 2
项目符号 Please check the FAQ page here before you send questions to TAs.
项目符号 Project due time is extended by one week considering the B tree was taught not long ago. So now, for regular students, it is due Nov 9th and for EDGE students, it is due on Nov 16th, both at 11:59pm EST.
项目符号 The Exam 2 will be a 60 mins exam on Nov 6, 8:30pm to 9:30pm. Please go to room NPB 1001. It will cover up to B tree. Please bring the Gator ID with you and come on time. For the EDGE students, please return the exam by mail or fax and also email to cop5536fa09@gmail.com before 11:59pm EST on Nov 13.

项目符号 The HW1 and Exam 1 is ready for pickup now. Please come to TA's office hour to get it. You can also check your score online. In Exam 1,  question 1,2 are graded by Yuchen Xie, Question 3,4 by Ying Xuan. In HW1, question 1,2 are graded by Bo Li and question 3,4 are graded by Kun Li.  Regrade request should be submitted before Oct 30. After that it will not be considered.

项目符号 The Project is out. The due day is Nov 2nd. You should email your solution to cop5536fa09@gmail.com before 11:59pm on Nov 2nd eastern time. Any late submission will not be graded. The EDGE students with proctor should submit before 11:59pm eastern on Nov 9th.
项目符号 Sep 28: Video-taped class
项目符号 Dr. Sahni will be away October 7, 9, and 12. There will be no lecture on October 7 (in lieu of the first exam being held the evening of Oct. 2). Pre-recorded lectures will be played October 9 and 12. If the flight can not arrive on time on Oct 14, the class will also be video-taped on Oct 14.

项目符号 The Exam 1 will be a 50 mins exam on Oct 2, 8:30pm to 9:20pm. For students with tempID<3400, please come to room WEIL 270, all other students (including those without tempID yet) should go to room FLI 50 It will cover up to Binomial heap. Please bring the Gator ID with you and come on time. For the EDGE students, please return the exam by mail or fax and also email to cop5536fa09@gmail.com before 11:59pm EST on Oct 9.

项目符号 Please send the following information to cop5536fa09@gmail.com:  your full name, UFID(8 digits), Email address and status (Regular students who can go to classrooms on campus or EDGE students who can only watch videos online). Also, make sure your email has COP5536 as its subject. After receiving this email, you will be given a four digit TempID (has nothing to do with your UFID, just to protect your privacy) which is for you to check your scores online.
项目符号 The TempID list will be online after Sep 14. If you can not see your ID there. Please send your information ASAP. Any late submission after Sep 16 will result in 0.5 point deducted from the overall score for letter grade.

    The first one is not yet reserved as a course material. You only need three pages of the book.
    The other three papers are now available. You can get electronic versions of them on the University of Florida Library  Web site or hard copies at the circulation desk of the Marston Science Library.
