Scott, third edition, Morgan Kaufman, ISBN 978-0-12-3745149 COURSE DESCRIPTION: An introduction to programming language concepts, including the history of programming languages, syntax and semantics, various language constructs, design goals, run-time structures implementation techniques, and exposure to a variety of programming paradigms. PREREQUISITES: COP 3530 (Data and Program Structures). ATTENDANCE: Strongly recommended. Class discussions will often elaborate on points not covered in the textbook.
