COURSE DESCRIPTION:
An introduction to programming language concepts, including
the history of programming languages, syntax and semantics,
various language constructs, design goals, run-time structures
implementation techniques, and exposure to a variety
of programming paradigms.
PREREQUISITES: COP 3530 (Data and Program Structures).
ATTENDANCE:
Strongly recommended. Class discussions will often elaborate
on points not covered in the textbook.

Programming Project 25%
Midterm 25%
Final 35%
Grade Scale:
A 92-100
A- 90-91
B+ 87-89
B 83-86
B- 80-82
C+ 77-79
C 73-76 75 or higher is required for a grade of S.
