COURSE DESCRIPTION:


An  introduction to programming language concepts, including
the history of programming languages, syntax and  semantics,
various  language  constructs, design goals, run-time struc­
tures, implementation techniques, and exposure to a  variety
of programming paradigms.


PREREQUISITES: COP 3530 (Data and Program Structures).


ATTENDANCE:

Strongly recommended. Class discussions will often elaborate
on points not covered in the textbook.

           Midterm               25%                  B    80-85
           Final                 35%                  C+   76-79

DISHONESTY:

     Incidents of students copying the work  of  other  stu­
dents  will  not  be  tolerated  and will be referred to the
Student Honor Court.
