Class Objectives

This is an advanced graduate course on the emerging topic of sensor networks. Students will acquire hands-on experience with wireless sensor networks and sensor platform technologies, and will learn how to develop sensor- and actuator-based end-to-end systems. The course will focus on sensor platforms, particularly on the ATLAS platform. The course will cover emerging Service-Oriented Device Architectures and novel concepts for pervasive system programmability and application development. Students will gain significant hands-on experience working with the ATLAS platform.

Special Emphasis:

This year, we will emphasize on sensor platforms. Paper presentations and term projects will be focused on this topic.
