Suggested Textbook: Multimedia Fundamentals: Media Coding and Content Processing by R. Steinmetz and K. Nahrstedt, Latest Edition, Practice Hall.
Research Papers: Paper List of Distributed Multimedia Systems Edited by Jonathan C.L. Liu, will be distributed to students.
Examination: Two mid-term exams. No make-up exam.
Assignments and Project: 3 or 4 assignments and one term project. No late assignments/project.
Grading Policy: 15% assignments; 20% project; 15% oral presentations; 40% mid-term exams; 10% attendance checks;
