BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Base Points

 

 

A base score of 75 points will be awarded to all papers that satisfy all of the basic requirements. Points will be subtracted from the base score of 75 for each basic requirement that is not satisfied. (The maximum points deducted for non-compliance is indicated in parentheses.)

Paper is 4000 words long, including title page and bibliography
(for papers less than 4000 words, final paper grade will be multiplied by words written/4000,
-2 if more than 5000 -5 if more than 5500)

 

 

At least 8 sources properly listed on bibliography page according to MLA format, and all sources listed in the bibliography are parenthetically cited correctly in the text. (-3 for each source < 8 including if you don't cite the source, -2 for each instance of incorrect MLA format including citing a source not in your bibliography )

Term Paper guide instructions followed, i.e. title page format, main 4 sections labeled, Paper stapled as instructed, Pages numbered, evaluation sheet attached (-2 each infraction)
