Errata/Ammendments:
1. Dr. Bermudez's office hours are M,W,F 9th, 10th periods, ending at 6p.m, not 5:30 p.m.
2. Windows 2000 is no longer supported by Myitlab.
3. The textbook is in its 3rd edition, not 6th.
4. The syllabus says we do not recommend purchasing older editions of the textbook. Actually, the second edition is perfectly acceptable, and new and used ones are available on amazon.com for as little as $8.
5. The syllabus says homeworks are due at 12 noon on the due date. However, we have settled into a routine in which homeworks are due at 11:59 p.m. on the due date.
6. The date for Exam 3 has been changed to December 14, at 12:30 (Exam period 14C). Most students will take this exam in their regular classroom. Exceptions will be announced later.
7. Students should not contact instructors or the course coordinator through Myitlab email, as these email addresses are not used at all by the instructors or course coordinator. The email addresses of the coordinator and the instructors are posted on this website.
8. All questions or issues regarding homework grades must be resolved within one week of the due date. After one week, no requests for changes of homework grades will be accepted. The only exceptions are sufficiently lengthy justified absences from school due to documented illness, medical/family emergencies, or participation in UF-sanctioned events.
9. Students should ALWAYS check their grade on the Myitlab site, right after submitting their homework assignment. No student can claim, after the deadline, that they did not realize that their submission had not "gone through". In short, you're not done with your homework until you submit it AND check your grade.
10. At the deadline (typically 11:59:00 p.m.) Myitlab will NOT submit your assignment automatically for you if you are still working on it.
11. You must allocate enough time to deal with technical issues in the Myitlab simulations. Somtimes Myitlab accepts only a limited number of ways (or even only one way) in which to accomplish the task at hand. It is the student's responsibility to determine what that procedure is, BEFORE the deadline. This means that if you can't solve the problem on your own, you must allocate enough time to consult with an instructor during office hours, or by email. Our response time for emails is up to one full business day.
