Project Space Automatic Creation

Welcome to the CISE Project Space Registration page. Project space is primarily intended for CISE students who need additional disk space to complete a class project, senior project, or some other project necessary to graduate. For details on the proper use, refer to the Project Space web page.

Project space is not intended for TAs or professors teaching a class. Class Space is available for this purpose. Research Space should be used for research conducted for a professor (i.e. research that the professor wants to keep even after the student graduates).

Currently, this form sends mail to the CISE administrator, who will then create the project space. Turn around time should be no more than two working days.

UsernameYour CISE username
Project NameThe name of the project. It should be 8-12 characters long, must not be in use (this will be checked), and should contain only letters, numbers, underscores, and dashes. No spaces or punctuation. A DAS portfolio should be named 'port-USERNAME' where USERNAME is your username.
PurposeThe purpose of the project space. If the purpose is for a senior project, enter 'Senior Project'. If it is for a class, enter the class name (CDA1111). If it is a project for a professor but not directly related to a class, enter the name of the professor (see the note on Research Space above). If the space is for a DAS portfolio, enter 'Portfolio'. If the project doesn't fall under any of these categories, enter 'Other'.
Disk SpaceAmount of disk space (in MB) requested (should be an integer). Large amounts must be justified in the description. A portfolio is limited to 150 MB.
DurationHow much time is the space required. Project space is primarily intended for short-term projects. Longer term projects need to be justified below. A portfolio may only be granted during the final school year, and will expire shortly after graduation.
DescriptionA description of the project. Be sure to justify any large amount of disk space, long duration, or non-class related requests.
