Exhibits

Tables provided will be 6' long and 3' wide. Each registration will be provided with 2 tables. Electrical outlets (110V) and extension cords will be made available.

General Information

Hotels

Some hotels in the Gainesville, FL area are:

Reitz Union Hotel (Tel: 1-352-392-2151)
These rooms go quickly due to University events.

There is also the luxurious Hilton University of Florida Conference Center (Tel: 1-352-371-3600) on SW 34th Street. This is an excellent place to stay because of it's proximity to campus.

The Holiday Inn Gainesville University Center (Tel: 1-352-376-1661 ) is also just a step away from the Computer Science Building.

If you don't mind staying a little off campus, but in a room with a great view of Bivens Arms State Park, you can try the Paramount Plaza Hotel and Suites on SW 13th Street (Tel: 1-877-992-9229).

There are several Marriott hotels in Gainesville. All are located next to I-75, just a short five miles from campus.

Gainesville Regional Airport is serviced by Continental, Delta, and US Airways. It is possible to fly into Jacksonville, Orlando or Tampa International Airports, rent a car, and drive to Gainesville (all approximately 2 hour drives). All major rental car agencies service Gainesville.

Driving Directions

  1. Exit the airport drive
  2. Right on SR 222 (39th Avenue) for 4 miles to US 441 (13th Street)
  3. Left on US 441 for 1/2 mile to Museum Road
  4. Right on Museum Road for 1/2 mile
  5. The Reitz Union is on the right, just past Center Drive

From Orlando, Florida
Orlando International Airport to the University of Florida = 122 miles
Driving Directions

  1. Take the North Exit Road from Orlando International Airport to SR 528 (Beeline Expressway).
  2. Take SR 528 (Beeline Expressway) west to the Florida Turnpike-North.
  3. Florida turnpike merges with I-75. Stay on I-75 until Exit 384, Gainesville-Archer Road (SR 24).
  4. Travel east on Archer Road for 2.6 miles to Gale Lemerand Drive (formerly North/South Drive)
  5. Turn left onto Gale Lemerand Drive for 1/2 mile to Museum Road
  6. Turn right on Museum Road for 1 block
  7. Turn left into the Reitz Union's driveway

From Jacksonville, Florida
Jacksonville International Airport to the University of Florida = 82 miles

  1. Take JAX Airport Road to I-95.
  2. Take I-95 south to I-295.
  3. Take I-295 south to I-10.
  4. Take I-10 West to US 301.
  5. Take US 301 South to SR 24.

  7. Turn right on University Avenue for 1.7 miles to US 441 (13th Street)

    Parking

    The CISE Department will have spaces reserved in the Reitz Union/UF Bookstore and Welcome Center Parking Garage for the event.

    • Upon registration, each company will receive an email with a parking permit as a PDF attachment. This must be printed out before arriving and displayed in the windshield of the vehicle. There is NO cost for this.
    • The spaces will be held from 3:30 – 4:30 PM on the day of the event.
    • When you enter the garage, stop at the attendant booth located at the end of the first row of spaces. The garage staff will recognize your permit and direct you to the appropriate parking area.
    • Once parked, you may leave your vehicle(s) for the entire duration of the event.
