CISE Financial Aid Opportunities
Fellowships
The department offers 8-10 fellowships each year for new PhD students.. This 4-year fellowship offers an approximately $$20000 annual stipend plus tuition waiver and other benefit.
Teaching Assistantship
We offer 15-20 Teaching Assistantship each year for new PhD students.. The assistantship offers students an approximately $18000 stipend per year plus tuition waiver and other benefit.
Scholarship for Minority PhD students
The College of Engineering establishes several 4-year scholarship for minority PhD students. You may apply through our department.
Harris Supplemental Scholarship
The Harris Co. donates a scholarship fund for the CISE department to offer 2-4 new PhD students each year a one-time $3000-$5000 scholarship to supplement fellowships/assistantships.
Achievement Award for New Engineering Graduate Students
The College of Engineering offers this award for all out-of-state and international MS and PhD students. The award carries a partial out-of-state tuition wavier. You may apply this award through CISE department. Click this link for more information. Please take advantage this award for both Master and PhD students.
You need NOT to apply the above financial aids separately. You will be evaluated automatically based on your application package.
